An electrocardiogram (ECG), also known as an EKG, is a valuable tool for assessing the electrical activity of the heart. During a resting ECG assessment, patients are asked to remain still while electrodes connect to their chest, arms, and legs. This facilitates the recording of the heart's electrical impulses as they travel through the myocardium.
